A little Info About The Band
Deco Bay Brass Band was formed in 2014 following the amalgamation of the Port of Napier Brass Band which was formed in 1868 and the Hastings Citizens’ Band which was formed in 1880. Combined we boast over 280 years of Brass Banding in the Hawke's Bay region. Both bands have a proud tradition of providing top quality musical performance to its greater public audience and this is attested to by the results both bands have achieved at both National and District Championship competitions. Several of our players have been awarded National Championship titles at National Brass Band Championships. Both bands have over their time been well placed in the B Grade Band Competition.
