WE ARE ON THE MOVE!
Our bandroom on Orchard Road has been home since the 1970s, when it was moved onto the site from the centre of Hastings, accompanied by the band. It holds lots of history and memories for current and former players, but it is now time to retire the building. It is showing it's age, needing expensive maintenance. It is also right next door to residential properties, and has very limited soundproofing.
We are very excited to be moving to our new home - the Nelson Theatre, part of the Keirunga Creative Arts Venue, 6 Puflett Road, Havelock North.
The Keirunga Arts and Crafts Society have been overwhelmingly supportive and welcoming, and we are happy to now be a part of the society.
Our weekly Wednesday night rehearsals are now taking place at the Nelson Theatre, 7-9pm.
Unfortunately the theatre does not have adequate storage for all our gear. We have council consent to build a storage room onto the outside of the building, and are fundraising to cover the costs. Please get in touch if you can help.
